The Tax Practitioners Board

The Tax Practitioners Board (also referred to as The TPB) is the regulatory body for BAS Agents and Tax Agents in Australia

They are responsible for the registration and regulation of our industry and ensure that practising BAS and Tax Agents are compliant with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA) which includes our Code of Professional Conduct.

As Sprout provides services that fall under the classification of BAS Agent Services, we are required to comply with the Code of Professional Conduct for BAS Agents.

Failure for BAS Agents or Tax Agents to comply with the TASA results in cancellation of our registrations and hefty fines; so it is in our best interests to ensure we toe the line.

This is no hardship as The Tax Practitioners Board helps us to help you, the community of small business owners in Australia.

By ensuring we maintain our educational requirements, professional development and continual knowledge upgrading, we are able to provide highly-skilled, compliant BAS and/or Tax Services.

Sprout has been registered with the Tax Practitioners Board since January 2014 and in addition to complying with the Code of Conduct, embraces the Pure Bookkeeping System to ensure consistency across the provision of services effectively Audit Proofing your business.
